The Punjab Public Service Commission invites Online Application Forms from eligible candidates for recruitment to 200 posts of Veterinary Officers in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Government of Punjab.
1. Position: Veterinary Officer
2. No of Posts: 200
3. Pay Scale: 47600/-
4. Qualification:
a. Should possess Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a University recognized by the Veterinary Council of India; and
b. Should be registered with the Punjab Veterinary Council.
c. Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard is essential.
Age Limit:
Candidates should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age as on 01-01-2021

SC/ ST, Backward Classes of Punjab State only: 750/-, EWS, PWD, LDESM: 500/-. All Other Categories: 1500/-

The Joint Public Service Commission, the precursor of the Punjab Public Service Commission, with its writ running from the Khyber Pass to the Jamuna near Delhi, was born in Lahore on May 1, 1937. In the wake of the Partition, the Punjab Public Service Commission resurged in February 1948, at Shimla with its revised jurisdiction extending over the then province of East Punjab. Following the merger of the States of Punjab and Pepsu, it shifted to Patiala on Nov.1st,1956. On 1stNov1966, its territorial jurisdiction again decreased due to the formation of the States of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
