Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute procurement of medicines, surgical items, consumables, equipment, and general stores
Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and credit periods
Prepare, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs)
Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers
Maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory
Coordinate with Pharmacy, Stores, Biomedical, Accounts, and all departments
Verify quality, quantity, and specifications of received materials
Handle returns, replacements, and vendor issues
Maintain purchase records, invoices, vendor files, and audit documentation
Monitor procurement budgets and control costs
Manage AMC, service contracts, and equipment procurement
Ensure compliance with GST, company policies, and hospital standards

Qualification

Any Degree / MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management (Preferred)
Diploma in Materials Management – added advantage

Experience

Minimum 2years of experience in hospital or healthcare procurement
Must have knowledge of medical purchases
