Job Description

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assist in researching potential suppliers and vendors for various products and services
2. Collaborate with team members to prepare accurate purchase orders
3. Evaluate supplier quotations, and negotiate prices, and agreement terms
4. Monitor purchase orders for timely delivery and resolve discrepancies
5. Maintain precise records of transactions and communications with vendors
6. Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
7. Participate in vendor meetings and maintain effective supplier communication
8. Support optimizing inventory levels and stock management
9. Contribute to improving procurement processes and procedures

Qualifications:

1. Holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
2. Enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics)
3. Possesses strong attention to detail and organizational skills
4. Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication abilities
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
6. Exhibits team collaboration and interpersonal skills
7. Possesses an analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making
8. Shows eagerness to learn about procurement and supply chain operations
