Job Description

Python Backend Developer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Python Backend Developer with around 1 year of hands-on experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong foundational knowledge in Python, REST API development using FastAPI, and ORM frameworks like SQLAlchemy. You will collaborate with frontend developers and other backend engineers to build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.

Design, implement, and manage database models using SQLAlchemy with SQLite (and ability to work with other SQL databases).

Work with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI for API testing and documentation.

Integrate third-party APIs and internal microservices.

Write unit tests to ensure code reliability and maintain high-quality standards.

Participate in code reviews, debugging, and backend issue resolution.

Use Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Work with Docker for containerization and basic deployment workflows.

Follow backend best practices related to performance, security, and maintainability.

Required Skills:

Solid proficiency in Python (1 year hands-on experience).

Experience with FastAPI for building RESTful APIs.

Good understanding of SQLAlchemy, database schema design, and hands-on experience with SQLite.

Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman and API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Basic knowledge of Docker for local development and containerization.

Strong understanding of Git/GitHub workflows.

Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest).

Understanding of core backend concepts: request/response cycle, authentication, serialization, and error handling.
