The selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Writing effective and scalable code using Python programming language
2. Testing and debugging applications
3. Developing back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
4. Integrating user-facing elements using server-side logic
5. Integrating data storage solutions
6. Reprogramming existing databases to improve functionality
7. Implementing security and data protection solutions
8. Coordinating with leadership teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
9. Writing and testing code, debugging programs, and integrating applications with third-party web services
