Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on the creation of test designs, test processes, test cases, and test data
2. Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of the test operations
3. Carry out testing as per the defined procedures
4. Interface and confer with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation, or coding issues
5. Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures
6. Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out
7. Resolve test return problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements
8. Assess and advise on the practicality of testing process alternatives
9. Identify improvements to the process and assist in their implementation
