Job Description – QA Engineer

The QA Engineeris responsible for ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle working with cross-functional teams to test features from a functional and component perspective and integrated with other systems.

They will gain an in-depth understanding of NFS Technology Group life cycle (physical and logical). Will maintain test team standards and processes and promote a positive view of the test function.

Educational Qualification: BE (Computer Science), ME (Computer Science), BE(IT), ME(IT),

BBA (IT/Computer), MBA(IT/Computer), BCA, MCA

Experience:

3 To 6 QA Engineer/QA Analyst/QA Tester Manual & Automation(Selenium with C Sharp)

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., QA Manager, developers, and product team) to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Write, schedule and maintain clear automated tests using C#.
• Integrate of automation testing scripts to software solutions.
• Merge a clear reporting platform for automated test runs.
• Promote coding conventions and standards for code re-usability and cleanliness.
• Convert manual test cases into reliable, repeatable automated tests.

Requirements

• Proven work experience in software development.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Strong hands-on experience with testing enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of git.
• Strong knowledge of Automation Frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge in Xpath, CSS and other locators.
• Experience in Test Driven and Behaviour Driven Development frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience of Mobile Automation using Appium.
• Previous experience with Azure DevOps, as a tool for test management and Code Repo
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
