Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Tester (Fresher) to join our Quality Assurance team. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the testing activities of web and/or mobile applications to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in software testing and quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and functional requirements to understand testing needs
Design, document, and execute test cases and test scenarios
Perform manual testing of applications across different environments
Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues
Conduct regression testing to validate bug fixes
Ensure adherence to defined quality standards and testing processes
Assist in preparing test reports and documentation

Required Skills & Competencies

Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
Familiarity with manual testing concepts and methodologies
Ability to write clear and concise test cases
Understanding of defect lifecycle and bug reporting tools (e.g., Jira)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
Certification in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB) is an added advantage

Preferred (Optional)

Basic knowledge of SQL
Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium
Internship or academic project experience in software testing
