Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements and ensure Business and Functional requirements are thorough, accurate, and testable.
- Identify user stories and translate them into test cases as required.
- Create test cases vs. RTM Matrix against the user stories to support application development.
- Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.
- Participate in test case reviews of peer and junior QAs.
- Testing the application through both manual and automated means.
- Test and ensure that software enhancements and system fixes work flawlessly to meet intended business needs according to defined requirements.
- Execute regression, system integration and performance testing.
- Provide usability and functionality feedback to developers.
- Make recommendations for revisions or improvements, including product customization.
- Identifying and logging defects using JIRA.
- Provide specific technical guidance on defects to developers.
- Participating in sprint planning meetings and daily stand-up meetings.
- Assist and collaborate closely with Project Leads/Managers and Developers to ensure that the application development is according to the quality assurance standards.
- Maintain strong, ongoing channels of communication within QA and with development teams.
- Generate required quality reports periodically and on-demand.
- Assist maintaining up-to-date knowledge base/documentation for the applications.
Must Have
- Must have high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have good communication skills, and excellent spoken and written English.
- Must be able to communicate and express ideas, issues, and suggestions effectively.
- Must have experience in creating user stories and translating them into test cases.
- Must have experience with building and executing manual test cases.
- Must have strong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be willing to go the extra mile when needed, and support the product in production at critical times, even out of office hours.
- Experience in SQL and Automation frameworks is an added advantage.
Minimum Experience Required: 0 to 2 Years
Minimum Qualifications Required: Bachelors or Masters in Computer applications
Working hours: 10 pm to 7 pm Indian Standard Time
