Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Monitoring and Control:

Inspect and monitor raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet required specifications.

Conduct daily routine checks on production lines for hygiene, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and CCPs (Critical Control Points).

Collect, label, and analyze food samples for microbiological, chemical, and physical testing.

Maintain batch-wise quality records, test reports, and product release documentation.
2. Regulatory Compliance and Standards:

Ensure adherence to FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, or other food safety management systems.

Conduct internal audits and support external audits by government bodies, third-party certifiers, or clients.

Ensure traceability of raw materials and finished products through accurate record-keeping.

Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), SOPs, and work instructions related to food safety and quality.
3. Hygiene and Sanitation Oversight:

Monitor and audit plant hygiene, personnel hygiene, and sanitation practices.

Conduct routine checks of cleaning schedules, pest control, water testing, and equipment sterilization.

Train floor staff and line operators in hygiene protocols and quality standards.

Investigate any non-conformities or complaints related to hygiene or contamination.
4. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed logs of quality checks, lab results, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports and submit them to management.

Document all deviations from SOPs and ensure root cause analysis is conducted.

Maintain calibration records of testing equipment and instruments.
5. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.

Support implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Collaborate with the R&D or product development team to ensure new products meet quality benchmarks.

Participate in supplier audits or vendor quality assessments as required.
