Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance & Control
-
Supervise quality control (QC) inspectors and ensure consistent testing, inspection, and verification of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.

Ensure that products conform to defined specifications and industry standards before dispatch.

Maintain traceability and integrity of quality documentation including inspection reports, test records, and certificates of compliance.

Develop and implement quality checklists, sampling plans, and SOPs based on production requirements.
2. Compliance and Standards
-
Ensure adherence to industry-specific standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, GMP, HACCP, or other applicable regulations.

Conduct internal audits, participate in external audits, and support certification and regulatory inspections.

Maintain updated documentation, procedures, and records as per QMS requirements.

Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
3. Process Monitoring and Improvement
-
Monitor production lines and identify any deviations, defects, or non-conformities in materials or processes.

Investigate quality issues using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and FMEA.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to address quality concerns and process inefficiencies.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce rework/rejection rates.
4. Team Leadership and Training

Lead and mentor a team of quality inspectors, providing regular training on quality procedures, tools, and best practices.

Assign tasks and manage shift schedules to ensure 24/7 quality coverage where applicable.

Evaluate team performance, conduct quality meetings, and maintain a culture of accountability and excellence.

Encourage proactive problem-solving and empower staff to take ownership of quality responsibilities.
5. Customer Interaction and Support
-
Address customer complaints related to product quality and provide detailed investigation reports.

Coordinate with the customer service or sales team to resolve issues and improve satisfaction.
-
Maintain quality-related communication with suppliers and vendors, including issuing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
-
Participate in customer audits or site visits as a quality representative.
