Job Overview
A Quality Tester is responsible for inspecting and testing motherboards during and after the repair process to ensure they meet industry quality standards. This role involves using specialized testing equipment to verify functionality, detect defects, and confirm that all repairs have been performed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspection & Defect Identification
✔ Examine motherboards for physical defects, damage, or irregularities such as broken components, soldering issues, or burned circuits.
✔ Ensure proper alignment of chips, capacitors, and resistors.
✔ Conduct visual and microscopic inspections to check for manufacturing or repair flaws.
2. Functional Testing
✔ Use precision measuring instruments, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and thermal cameras to verify motherboard functionality.
✔ Perform diagnostic tests and voltage checks to ensure all circuits are operational.
✔ Confirm that BIOS updates and firmware installations are correctly applied.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
✔ Ensure all repaired motherboards meet quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
✔ Follow ISO, IPC, and industry best practices for electronics testing.
✔ Maintain detailed quality control records and test reports for future reference.
4. Troubleshooting & Reporting
✔ Identify faulty components or connections and document test results.
✔ Work closely with repair technicians to resolve recurring defects.
✔ Suggest improvements in testing procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
5. Equipment Maintenance & Safety
✔ Regularly calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
✔ Adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety protocols to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components.
