RA/JRF Earth Science job vacancies in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar 

Title : “Establishing the State Climate Change Centre (SCCC) in the State of Gujarat” 

This multidisciplinary project has the following major focus areas:

(i) Water Resources

(ii) Agriculture

(iii) Forests and Biodiversity

(iv) Urban Development

(v) Health

(vi) Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

(vii) Sea-level Rise and Coastal Infrastructure.

RA /1 Post

Qualification : PhD in Climate Change/ Envt Sci/ Ecology/ Wildlife Sci/ Forestry/ Botany/Zoology/ Envt Eng/ Hydrology/ Earth Sci or related area OR Min. 3 years of relevant research experience after MTech/ME/MSc in above mentioned fields with at least one research paper in Science Citation lndexed (SCI) journal

Remuneration : Rs.36,000

JRF /11 Post

Qualification : Post graduate degree in Earth Sciences/Environmental Sciences/Agriculture Science Hydrology/Climate change/Social Science/Statistics or related area, or graduate/post graduate degree in Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering/ Hydrology/ Remote Sensing & GIS or related area. Candidates should have valid GATE/NET card. Candidates selected through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institution such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc will also be considered

Remuneration : Rs.25000 + HRA (If applicable) in first two years and  Rs. 28,000 + HRA (If applicable) 

Duration: Total project duration is five years. All positions will be for one-year duration, which can be extended up to a maximum duration of two, three or five years on the basis of satisfactory performance and availability of project fund.
