RA/JRF/SRF Civil Engg. Job recruitment in IIT Kanpur

Project Title: “An experimental and numerical assessment of Indian crushable sands under cyclic loading” no: CSIR/CE/2017169

Minimum Qualification: For Research Associate(RA) post doctorate (phd) or equivalent degree in Civil engineering or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME/M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering. If a suitable candidate is not found for RA post, appointment may be considered at the level of JRF or SRF.

JRF post requires B.Tech (Civil Engineering) or equivalent degree with 55% marks and passing of GATE test.

SRF post requires B.Tech (Civil Engineering) and at least 2 years of B.Tech research experience as evidenced from standard journal publication or M.Tech or equivalent degree in Geotechnical Engineering.

Desirable Qualification: Candidate with background in soil mechanics, with experience in experimental geotechnology (triaxial testing) and numerical modelling (finite element analysis and computer programming in Fortran/Matlab) will be preferred.

Salary: Rs. 36,000/-pm plus HRA (RA),Rs. 14,000/-pm plus HRA (SRF),Rs. 12,000/-pm plus HRA (JRF)

Age limit: Maximum 35 years for the RA post; 32 year for the SRF post; and 28 years for the JRF post.
