Job Description
We want certified Radiological Safety Officer (RSO) for our Irradiation Facility at Bihta, Patna. BARC offers various RSO certification courses, including those for Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Gamma Irradiation Chambers, Radiation Processing Facilities (Gamma and Electron), and Nucleonic Gauges.
We are looking with suitable candidates with sound Physics knowledge and proven track record. As we sponsor the candidates paying the training fees of around INR 50,000, we want to ensure that we select candidates who can clear the RSO Certification Examination.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of radiation physics, nuclear technology, and health physics.

Proficiency in using radiation detection and monitoring instruments such as Geiger counters, scintillation detectors, and dosimeters.

Understanding of radiation shielding design and dose calculation methods.

Familiarity with national and international radiation safety standards (AERB, IAEA, NCRP).
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
