We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Rebar Detailer with a background in civil engineering and knowledge of AutoCAD. As a Rebar Detailer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed rebar drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS) using AutoCAD and specialized rebar detailing software. Your role is crucial in ensuring accurate reinforcement designs and clear construction documentation for use by site engineers, contractors, and fabricators.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Rebar Detailing and Drafting

Prepare rebar shop drawings based on structural drawings and specifications.

Create accurate and to-scale reinforcement drawings using AutoCAD.

Interpret structural drawings and convert them into rebar layout plans, sections, and details.

Ensure detailing adheres to relevant codes and project requirements (e.g., ACI, BS, IS codes).
2. Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) Preparation

Generate detailed and accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for all reinforcement works.

List bar diameters, lengths, bends, cuts, weights, and quantities according to the drawing.

Coordinate with engineers to ensure BBS matches the project specifications and quantities.
3. Software Utilization

Use AutoCAD to produce 2D drawings for slabs, beams, columns, footings, and other structural elements.

Utilize rebar detailing software tools such as CADS RC, Tekla Structures, RebarCAD, or similar (training may be provided if not known).

Ensure CAD files and drawing formats meet client or project standards.
4. Drawing Review and Coordination

Assist in reviewing structural drawings for any inconsistencies, missing information, or clashes.

Communicate with the structural or design team for clarifications and changes.

Modify drawings based on client or engineer feedback.
5. Documentation and Delivery

Organize drawings, schedules, and supporting documents for delivery to clients or construction teams.

Maintain proper documentation and backups of all drawing files and revisions.

Ensure timely delivery of drawings within deadlines.
6. Quality and Compliance

Follow drafting standards, detailing conventions, and project-specific guidelines.

Check and self-review all outputs for accuracy and completeness.

Implement feedback from senior detailers or team leads for continuous improvement.
