Gadgetwood, a brand-agnostic company into repair and support services for mobiles and tablets, has rebranded itself as Yaantra. As part of the transaction and to strengthen governance, Anurag Bhargava of Duane Park has joined the company as chairman. India-focused private equity firm Carpediem Capital Managing Director Abhishek Sharman has also joined the company's board. A strategic advisory board will be added to aid in growth and to assist with partnerships going forward, it said in a statement. 'The strategic inputs from Anurag and Abhishek will help us build the leading consumer services brand focused on repairs and refurbishment of smartphones and tablets. Yaantra will provide support across the product life cycle of smartphones and tablets and will provide the next gen innovative services to end users, corporates, retailers, OEMs and ecommerce companies,' Jayant Jha, CEO, Yaantra said. In September, the company raised about $6 million in funding from Carpediem Capital and its investors. This is the second round of funding for Gadgetwood, which last year raised an undisclosed sum from individual investors of Indian Angel Network including Ajai Chowdhry of HCL, Ashvin Chadha of North India Sotheby's International Realty and Yogesh Bansal of ApnaCircle.com. The first round was also supported by Nitin Singhal of Fresco Global. Founded in 2013 by entrepreneurs Jha, Ankit Saraf and Anmol Gupta, the New Delhi-based company offers repair and support services for mobiles and tablets across all brands.
