Job Description

Job Title: Asset Recovery Lead

Department: Operations / Asset Management / Collections

Reporting To: Recovery Manager / Operations Head

Location: As per business requirement

Job Summary

The Asset Recovery Lead is responsible for managing the end-to-end recovery of company assets from defaulting customers, exited employees, or non-compliant vendors. The role ensures timely repossession, proper documentation, asset safety, and compliance with legal and company policies while leading a recovery team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage asset recovery operations and field recovery teams
Ensure timely recovery of physical assets (devices, equipment, vehicles, tools, SIMs, IT assets, etc.)
Plan and execute repossession and asset retrieval strategies
Handle escalated, high-value, and sensitive asset recovery cases
Ensure compliance with legal guidelines, company SOPs, and ethical recovery practices
Coordinate with legal, finance, HR, and operations teams for asset closure
Maintain accurate records, recovery status, and asset movement logs
Prepare MIS reports on asset recovery, loss, and write-offs
Reduce asset leakage, loss, and recovery turnaround time
Train and monitor team on recovery SOPs, safety, and customer handling

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and field team management skills
Knowledge of asset recovery, repossession laws, and compliance norms
Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict-handling skills
Ability to work in high-pressure, target-driven environments
Strong documentation and reporting skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, asset tracking systems, and CRMs
