Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Relationship Officer to join our sales and customer service team. The Relationship Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring their satisfaction, loyalty, and engagement with our company’s products and services. This role plays a vital part in enhancing customer experience, identifying growth opportunities, and driving business success through personalized relationship management.
Ideal candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a natural inclination toward understanding and serving customer needs. Prior experience in client-facing roles, especially in financial services, insurance, banking, real estate, or retail, will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Relationship Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, offering dedicated service and support.

Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to increase customer retention and satisfaction.

Understand client needs, preferences, and expectations to offer tailored solutions and services.

Regularly interact with customers via phone, email, in-person visits, or video calls to check on satisfaction levels and address any concerns.
2. Business Development & Sales Support:

Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities by analyzing client profiles and understanding their future needs.

Promote new products, services, or offers that match the customer’s requirements and financial capabilities.

Work closely with the sales team to convert leads into long-term customers.

Follow up with potential customers to generate interest and close deals.
3. Onboarding and Account Management:

Assist new customers through the onboarding process, including documentation, account setup, and product demonstrations.

Maintain updated and accurate records of client information, communication, and service history in the CRM system.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and documentation requirements.
4. Complaint Resolution and Customer Support:

Address customer queries, complaints, and service requests promptly and professionally.

Escalate issues that require special attention to relevant departments and follow through until resolved.

Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams to ensure a seamless service experience.

Monitor customer satisfaction and take proactive steps to improve service quality.
5. Market Intelligence and Feedback:

Gather feedback from customers regarding product satisfaction, service experience, and market trends.

Share insights with management to support product development, marketing, and process improvements.

Monitor competitor activities and customer preferences to stay ahead in the market.
6. Target Achievement and Reporting:

Meet assigned relationship and sales targets (e.g., revenue, retention, acquisition).

Track and report on client activities, service quality, and relationship health metrics.

Maintain documentation of interactions, customer needs, and outcomes for future reference and analysis.

Prepare regular reports for management summarizing activities and performance metrics.
