Roles and Responsibilities: Applications are invited for the Post of Research Assistant (One number) for the Department of Science & Technology (SPLICE – Climate Change Progamme), Govt. of India in School of Bio Sciences and Technology (SBST), Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore – 632 014.
Title of the Project: Study of floral diversity in Tamilnadu coastal region and identification of climate change indicators
4. Number of positions: 01
5. Essential: Ist class in M.Sc. in Botany/ Plant Sciences
6. Desirable: Candidates having knowledge in field studies, as the project is involved with intensive field trips in coastal regions of Tamil nadu to collect plant, animal, soil and water samples. Establishment of herbaria, germplasm repository, chemical profiling, microbial and plant tissue cultures are mandatory.
7. Stipend: Rs. 14,000/- per month (Consolidated)
8. Duration: 6 months.
