Job Description
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (one vacancy) at the
department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Central University of Tamil Nadu for a NHRC funded
research project.
Title of the Project: “Domestic Workers in South India and North East: A Situational Analysis from Dignity
and Rights perspective”
Post: Research Assistant (01 vacancy)
Emoluments: Rs 20,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications: 1. PhD/ MPhil/ Post Graduate Degree in Social Work/ Human Rights/ Developmental Studies/ Gender Studies/ Economics/Public Health / any relevant social sciences with minimum 55% marks.
2. Proficiency in English and in one vernacular language (either in Tamil/ Malayalam)
Desirable Qualifications and Skills: Candidates having experience in research tool development, extensive field work, computation/ data analysis using SPSS/ STATA / R. Willingness to travel to three states (viz Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Mizoram) for extensive field work. Ability to work independently and having an aptitude for research
