4. Duration: Time bound for a period of 7 months
5. Essential Qualifications and Experience:
a. PhD in any social science discipline (Or)
b. M.Phil any social science discipline with minimum 55% marks from a recognized institute at the time of joining (Or)
c. Post graduate degree in any social science discipline with atleast 2 years of research experience and minimum 55% marks from a recognized institute at the time of joining.
6. Desirable Qualifications:
a. Proficiency in both English and Tamil (speak, read and write) is compulsory
b. Computer knowledge (M icrosoft office)
c. Experience in collection and analysis of qualitative data
7. Salary: As per rules of ICSSR — Consolidated pay of Rs.20,000/.
8. Job Profile: The Research assistant will be responsible for Conduct and report writing of qualitative interview and focus group discussions and also project management. Keep and maintain the record in presentable form (Soft as well as hard copy). Assist the Pl in preparation of various reports and statistics related to the research work.
9. Desirable Skills : Good understanding of needs for project and job responsibilities . Excellent reading comprehension and strong written as well as verbal communication skills including good command of English and Tamil is required . Computer skills including proficiency in use of MS Office applications, data collection and analysis software and statistical analysis.
Age Limit:
Upper age limit 35 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be extended as per Govt.of.lndia rules.
