Research Assistant job vacancies in College of Engineering Pune on temporary basis

Project Title : Wear, Corrosion and impact toughness of the high nitrogen martensitic stainless steel

Qualification : The candidates possessing First class B.E. / B.Tech Degree from Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering are eligible. The higher qualification like master degree (M.Tech. /M.E.) with minimum of 55% marks in the subject concerned will be given preference. Experience in cryogenic treatment is desirable.

Fellowship : Rs. 20,000/- per month consolidated.

Age Limit : The candidate to be appointed as RA should be below the age of 35 years at the time of appointment.

About Company

COEP's precursor, The Poona Engineering Class and Mechanical School was opened in July 1854, its aim being to provide suitable instruction for subordinate officers in the Public Works Department. The School was situated in Bhawani Peth, Poona , and the accommodation consisted of three small detached houses for teaching purposes and a separate house for the Principal. In June 1865 Mr. Theodore Cooke, M.A who held that appointment for 28 years was appointed Principal. The foundation stone of the new college was laid by His Excellency the Governor, Sir Bartle Frere, on the 5th August 1865.
