Inviting application for the position of Research Assistant - Qualitative/Quantitative Research
A number of Positions and Locations: One Position is located in each of the states of Haryana and Maharashtra.
Name of the projects: “Changing Sexual Networks and Unexplored Risk Behaviours of Truckers/Drivers and Allied Population in India” and “Migrants' emerging mobility patterns, high risk behaviors, HIV vulnerabilities and responses during COVID-19 in India”.
Job Description: The individual shall be responsible to assist in research tasks, and administrative and logistic operations of the pan-India project surveys. The responsibilities shall mainly include assisting senior Project Investigators in hiring, training the field investigators, data collection, daily fieldwork monitoring, data management, analysis, documentation, travel for data collection and supervision in different districts/states, on ground logistic management along with any other task required for the successful completion of the projects.
Required Technical Skills (Qualitative Research): Knowledge and hands-on experience with NVivo/ AtlasTi packages for qualitative data analysis.
Required Technical Skills (Quantitative Research): Knowledge and hands-on experience with Excel/SPSS packages and quantitative data analysis techniques.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in social sciences or associated disciplines.
2. Conversant with the required research methods, tools, and techniques.
3. Good communication and writing skills.
4. Ability to coordinate and perform in a team environment and willing to travel to multiple districts in one or more states.
5. Ability to communicate effectively in the state’s specific local language and Hindi/English.
Desirable: Work experience of 1-2 years in social sciences research
Duration: 4 months (contractual)
Remuneration: INR 30,000- 35,000 per month
