Research Associate Bioinformatics/ Project Assistant /Field Assistant job recruitment in National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB)
DBT funded project entitled :“Genomics for conservation of indigenous cattle breeds and for enhancing milk yield, phase-I”
Research Associate /1 Post
Essential qualification: PhD Degree in Bioinformatics/ Computational biology/ Computer science/ related field or M. Tech. having 3 years of experience in relevant area with at least a scientific paper in Science citation indexed (SCI) journal. (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014). Candidate with the core expertise and experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis, SNP identification, selection of SNP for chip designing; machine learning and developing machine learning tool; Database design and development is desirable.
Fellowship amount: Rs.36000/-PM+30% HRA = 46,800/- PM as per the DST guidelines.
Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
Project Assistant /1 Post
Essential qualification: Candidate should have Graduate degree and must have experience of project management.
Fellowship amount: Rs.22000/- PM consolidated.
Field Assistant /4 Post
Essential qualification: 10+2/Intermediate in sciences with at least 1 year of experience in large animal handling or diploma in animal husbandry.
Fellowship amount: Rs.20000/- PM consolidated.
