1. Investigation on factors responsible for Sal (Shorea robusta) mortality in Jharkhand State

Research Associate-I (RA-I) 01 (One) 

Pay Scale: Rs. 47,000.00 p.m. Consolidated

Essential: Ph.D. or having 3 years research experience after First class Master degree in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing &GIS Desirable: Having work experience in SDM/ Python and R. 

Collection, Conservation and Evaluation of Melia dubia Germplasm from North Bengal, Odisha Hills and other parts of India for identification and release of superior clones.

Junior Project Fellow (JPF) 01 (One) 

Pay Scale: Rs.20,000.00 p.m. Consolidated 

Essential : M.Sc. (Ag.) or M.Sc. (Plant Biotechnology) or (Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Forestry), M.Sc. (Botany) 

Desirable : (i) One year research/ teaching experience in relevant field. (ii) Knowledge of handling Computer (MS Office, Data Entry
) and Statistics will be given preference. 

Age: Upper age limit 35 years for RA –I and 28 yrs. for JPF as on the 1st day of June, 2020. The age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/Women/Physically handicapped and OBC.

The Government of Mysore had set up a Forest Research Laboratory (FRL) at Bangalore in 1938. In the initial years, work was carried out mainly on properties and uses of different timber species, essential oils, other non-wood forest products and protection of wood and trees from pests and diseases. In 1956, this laboratory was organised as a regional centre of Forest Research Institute and Colleges, Dehra Dun. In 1977, Sandal Research Centre was set up to undertake research on wide-ranging aspects of genetics, silviculture and management of sandal, a valuable tree well distributed all over Southern India.
