Job Description
Research Area: Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Essential Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Physics or Materials Science from a recognized University or Institute. A candidate who is expected to submit his/her Ph.D. thesis within three months from the deadline for this application mentioned above may also apply while submitting a separate declaration letter given by the supervisor mentioning the above three-month time-limit.
This has to be submitted by the candidate along with his/her application. Candidates should have a first or high second class M. Sc. degree in Physics with minimum average of 55% marks in
B.Sc.(Hons.) & M.Sc. examination along with good overall academic record.
Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in thin film growth techniques using pulsed laser deposition or sputtering or e-beam evaporation will be preferred. Candidates with experience in some of the thin film characterization techniques using magneto-optic Kerr effect
(MOKE), X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron microscopes (SEM/TEM), ferroelectric polarization, magnetic property measurement will be preferred.

Duration: Initial appointment will be done for six months and can be extended further on satisfactory progress and subject to the approval by the project monitoring committee.
Age limit: 35 years
Emoluments: As per rules of the Association.
For Ph.D. holder, the original or provisional certificate and for the candidate
who has submitted the thesis, the relevant document like the acknowledgement
copy from the respective university or the authorized letter from the respective
supervisor with signature and stamp mentioning the title of the thesis, the
university registration number, date of submission is mandatory to produce
during the interview.
