Walk In Interview for the temporary Positions of Research Associate-II/ SRF Life Sciences
Name of project: 'Beneficial Modulation of Gut Bacteria as a Strategy for the prevention of Life Style Associated Disorders” (Core Grant)
1. Manpower: Research Associate (RA-II); 01 Position
Essential qualifications: PhD/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/ M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) journal. (Eligibility criteria as DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019)
Desirable Experience: 1. Experience in Nutritional Biochemistry/Pharmaco-nutrition with high experience in working with small animal models of diabetes, obesity and gut bacteria; gene expression analysis; Western Blotting evidenced by high quality peer reviewed publications. 2. Working experience for the use of HPLC, GC, PCR and RT-PCR.
Emoluments: Rs 49,000/- + 16%HRA
Emoluments: The RA-II will be hired as per the emoluments’ guidelines and service conditions notified by DST (DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-08/2012 dated 30.01.2019)
Age Limit: 40 years for RA-II (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC/PD as per GOI instructions).
2. Manpower: Senior Research Fellow/ 01 position
Project: “Metagenomic and Functional Characterization of Soy-based Fermented Food Products from NorthEast Region” (Project GAP-16)
Qualification: Post graduate degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following a) Scholars are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. Essential Qualification for Senior Research FellowQualification prescribed above with two years of research experience.
Desired Experience: Training in Microbiology, Food & Nutrition preferably in performing batch fermentations and gut microbial estimations.
Emoluments: Rs.35,000/-PM+16% HRA
