Research Associate (Urban Economics) Job Opportunity in National Institute of Urban Affairs
Project: Preparation of an Enabling Strategic Plan for the Master Plan of Delhi 2041
Qualification: Master's Degree in Economics (preferably Urban Economics)
No. of Positions: 01 Post
Knowledge and Experience: 4-6 years of relevant work experience in the areas of urbanization, population, migration, city economy etc. Must possess cross-sector knowledge in economics and demonstrate the ability to link macro and micro level data across sectors; analyze employment and business growth/decline trends; deduce correlations between economic growth and physical development such as housing, transport etc.; be able to support findings with quantitative analysis of data.
Technical Proficiency and Computer Skills: Experience in working on economic policy issues and data analysis. Proven strong conceptual, analytical and evaluative skills in these areas. Proficiency in econometric software such as E-Views and STATA. Knowledge of MS office programmes particularly Excel is essential. The ability to present data in easily understandable formats through graphs and other tools, as well as through short descriptions in text is essential.
Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to write well and produce short and long reports related to the project, prepare and give presentations to different stakeholders.
Remuneration: Remuneration is at par with the industry standards, depending on experience and skills. Proof of past remuneration would be required.
