Job Description
Research Associate Life Sciences /Field/Laboratory Assistant job position in National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) on temporary basis
(A) DBT- BBSRC Multi Institutional project entitled 'Genomics-led improvement of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in mustard rape for economic and environmental sustainability'.
Research Associate /1 Post
Qualification: Candidates having doctorate (Ph.D) degree awarded in Life Sciences or equivalent with good publication recod are eligible to apply. Candidate should have excellent experience of more than 2 years in plant tissue culture and developing transgenic events in Brassica crops.

Field/Laboratory Assistant /1 Post
Qualification: Candidates should be minimum 10+2 (Intermediate) pass with Science subject.

The candidate having at least four years of working experience in field related work including growing and maintaining Brassica and Arabidopsis plants will be preferred. Candidate should be well versed with lab cleaning, autoclaving, general media preparation.
The candidate should have good knowledge of computers and typing in English for recording field data on day-to-day basis.
Consolidated Emoluments: Rs.18000
(B) DBT project entitled: 'Biofortification of branched chain amino acid-leucine in Brassica crops using CRISPR-Cas9 mediated genome editing” against the call for proposals in the area of “Genome Engineering technologies and their applications'.
Senior Research Fellow /1 Post
Qualification: Candidates having M.Sc./M.Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or equivalent and minimum of two years of post M.Sc./M.Tech research experience are eligible to apply.
Candidate with prior work experience in plant tissue culture and plant metabolism ansd having publication record will be preferred.
