Job Description
Walk-in interview for the recruitment of Research Associate marine microbial ecology in a SwarnaJayanti Fellowship Funded Project
A position for Research Associate is open to work in a SwarnaJayanti Fellowship funded project to look into ecophysiological responses of coastal diatom communities under high CO2 scenarios using genomic approaches. The ecophysiological responses of diatom communities will be investigated in coastal Bay of Bengal as well as using robust laboratory microcosm set ups.
Eligibility: Ph.D. in the domain of marine microbial ecology with publications record in peer-reviewed international journals and proven experience of undertaking field work across dynamic coastal ecosystems such as coastal Bay of Bengal. Candidates with proven track record using computational biology approaches to process large coastal microbiota NGS datasets and evidence for setting up mesocosm/microcosm based set ups will be preferred.
Salary and other terms: Rs 49000 +24% HRA per month. The appointment will be initially for a period of one year.
