Essential Qualification: PhD in Physical/ Environmental/ Earth Sciences, Natural Resource Management/ Environmental Management / Geography/Climate Science/ RS and GIS or allied subject (After obtaining the degree of Ph.D/M.Tech., the SPF (Non-NET) selected shall be eligible for being appointed as Research Associate)

Desirable Qualifications: (i) Experience in research and development/surve y/ planning/ RS&GIS/supervision or training etc. in the specified fields. (ii) Demonstrated experience of report writing and documentation supported with publications (iii) Working experience in the Himalayan region (iv) Good comprehension and communication skills, and well versed with Himalayan States

Desirable Qualifications : (i) Experience of Satellite image processing and handling of statistical software (ii) Experience of environmental data collection and analysis (iii) Research exposure as documented and evident by publication record and experience in policy making, planning or management related to Environmental challenges.
