Job Description
Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate (RA-I), one Senior Research Fellow and one Junior Research Fellow in the following projects/schemes under the supervision of Dr. Naveen C.
Bisht, Scientist, NIPGR.
DBT Multi-Institutional project entitled “Nutritional Improvement of Indian Oilseed Mustard Using CRISPR-Cas9 Mediated Genome Editing”,
Research Associate (RA-I-one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project.
Qualification: Candidates having doctorate (Ph.D) degree awarded in Life Sciences or equivalent with good publication recod are eligible to apply.
Candidate should have excellent experience of more than 2 years in plant tissue culture and developing transgenic events in Brassica crops. Candidate having prior work experience in performing molecular analysis and phenotyping of transgenic and genome-editing events is highly desirable.
2) SERB project entitled “Investigating the roles of heterotrimeric G-protein components (Gα and RGS) towards governing agronomical traits and abiotic stress tolerance in India oilseed mustard”.
Junior Research Fellow (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project.
Qualification: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019. Candidates having M.Sc./M.Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or equivalent duly supported with research work are eligible to apply. Candidate with prior work experience in plants will be preferred.
3) NIPGR Short Term Research Fellow Scheme
Senior Research Fellow (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms.
Qualification: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019. Candidates having M.Sc./M.Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or equivalent and minimum of two years of post M.Sc./M.Tech research experience are eligible to apply. Candidate with prior work experience in plant tissue culture and plant metabolism and having publication record will be preferred.
