Announcement for a Research Associate position in Theoretical Physics

Remuneration: 1st Year: Rs.47,000 + HRA @ 24% p.m
2nd Year: Rs.49,000 + HRA @ 24% p.m

Note: Those who have submitted the thesis, but are yet to complete the requirements for award of Ph.D will be paid Rs.38,000/- +HRA@24% p.m. A higher initial start may be considered in deserving cases.

Eligibility: Age: Not more than 32 Years as on the closing date for receiving the completed application formsonline. Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with relevant research experience.

Essential:1. PhD (Theoretical Physics): Those who have submitted the thesis but are yet to complete the requirements for the award of Ph.D may also apply.

2. Programming knowledge in C++/Python/Mathematica

3. Prior experience in research in theoretical physics of above topics.

Desirable: The candidate should be motivated and should have a flair for theoretical research work as well as programming skills. 75% or more marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying course is desirable. Experience in one or more of the following is desirable: 1. Previous research work experience in theoretical physics of above topics and familiarity with basic concepts in the field through course work, online classes etc. 2. Specifically, experience in quantum statistical mechanics and/or quantum optics will be given special consideration

The lands, buildings, deposits, securities, bank deposits, moneys, laboratories, instruments, and all other movable and immovable properties held by the Academy for the Raman Research Institute were transferred to the RRI Trust. The foremost function of the RRI Trust was to maintain, conduct and sustain the Raman Research Institute.
