Project entitled “Setting Up of Marine Ornamental Fish Village at Ratnagiri: Way Forward to Promote Livelihood to Mangrove Dwellers and Biodiversity Conservation” on contractual basis.

Research Associate/01 No.

Essential Qualification: 1. Ph.D. in Fisheries Science/Marine Biology/Marine Biotechnology/Coastal Aquaculture/Ocean Science & Technology/Zoology with specialization in fisheries or aquaculture. 2. One year research experience in fish hatchery operation.

Desirable: Expertise in ornamental aquaculture/Livefeed culture.

Pay Scale : Rs. 40,000/- fixed 

Age: 40 years for male and 45 year for female candidates as on the date of interview (relaxation as per GOI rules) 

Young Professional-II
/01 No.

Essential Qualification: 1. M.F.Sc./M.Sc.(Marine Biology/Coastal Aquaculture/Ocean Science & Technology/Zoology with specialization in fisheries or aquaculture. 2. One year research experience in ornamental fish hatchery. 

Desirable: Expertise in Ornamental aquaculture/Livefeed culture

Pay Scale : Rs. 25,000/- fixed 

Age: Minimum 21 years Maximum 45 years (Relaxation as per rule)

The National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources (NBFGR) was established in December 1983 in a rented premises at Allahabad under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research to undertake research related to the conservation of fish germplasm resources of the country. The Bureau’s permanent infrastructure was developed at Canal Ring Road, Telibagh, Lucknow, U.P in 1999 comprising an administrative block, laboratories, farm and residential complex covering an area of 52  acres. The Institute's vision is assessment and conservation of fish genetic resources for intellectual property protection, sustainable utilization and posterity.
