Research Associate/Young Professional Mathematics Job Opportunity At IARI
1) DST-MRDP project: Agricultural productivity in climate change scenarios: Impacts and adaptation pathways (A National Facility for Capacity Building on Simulation Modelling in Agriculture)’ under National Mission for Strategic Knowledge on Climate Change (2018- March, 2021).
2) CHAMAN Project: Coordinated Horticulture Assessment & Management using geoiNformatics (CHAMAN-Phase-II) (2018-March, 2020)
3) MoEF and CC Project (NATCOM) project: Assessment of Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation for Third National Communication to UNFCCC: Agriculture (July, 2019 and likely to be up to December -2019)
4) National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) (2015-March, 2020)
1. Research Associate For NATCOM Project /1Post
Essential: i)PhD or M.Sc/M.Tech/ME in atmospheric science/ agricultural statistics/ mathematics /computer science with first class or >7.5% OGPA.
ii) Candidates should have done 4/5 years bachelor’s degree.
iii) Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET/ MHRDGATE qualification or Ph.D in any of above disciplines.
iv) candidates having post graduate degree only, should have two years proven research experience with strong programming skills
Desirable: Proficiency in satellite data analysis, development of algorithms, proficiency in C/C++, CDO, R-programming, Matlab and handling databases such as MySQL, proficiency in Arc-GIS.
Pay Scale: Rs 38,000 for candidates with Masters degree with NET and 2 years experience+ 30% HRA Rs 40,000 for candidates with PhD + 30% HRA
2. Senior Research Fellow /1 Post DST-MRDP project
Essential: i) M.Sc. in Soil Science / Agronomy/ Agricultural Physics and First Division (60% marks or OGPA>7.5). ii and iii same as in S.No.1
Desirable: Experience in using crop models
Pay Scale : Rs 25,000 first year; 25,000 second year and 28,000 third year + 30% HRA
