Job Description
Principal task and Responsibilities:
- Process intensification of plant existing batches and upcoming R&D projects.
- To find out different strategy of operation to enhance productivity/yield or reduce time cycle and utilization of energy.
- Study the operational parameters of different unit operations like crystallization, distillation, drying, and extraction and optimize those parameters based on energy basis, cost basis, safety concerns accordingly.
- Process Optimization and process engineering support to R & D and technology transfer team for fast and smooth technology transfer.
- To find out the root cause of the failed batches in plant and take up experiments based on the proposed solution.
- Scale up of products from R&D to pilot/plant scale by doing engineering calculations and observing the kinetics involved in the reaction.
- Responsible for all documents / records maintained properly. Ensure old records are archived properly and are retrievable.
- To maintain quality and safety standards in Lab and Kilo lab.
- Prepare trend analysis of various tests, trials & experiments in order to arrive at logical conclusions by using dynochem.
- To increase solvent recovery % and to increase system capacity.
- Technology evaluation and conducting trials to study its feasibility and applicability.
- Identifies ways to streamline and/or improve processes – Operational Excellence.
- Reviewing the PDR made by PERL and do all the necessary technical corrections if any.
- To do analysis of trend data available of different experiment and suggest the better option of cost reduction.
- Cost benefit study at commercial level application.
In the absence of the job holder the designee assigned by the reporting manager would be responsible for carrying out the above responsibilities.
