Applications are invited for ONE POST of RESEARCH ASSITANT on a temporary basis for
Rheo-dielectric experiments in the Soft Condensed Matter Group of the Institute for a period
of one year/ extendable to second year (if found suitable).
Job Description: Simultaneous rheometric and dielectric studies of dense colloidal suspensions and glasses (SERB project EMR/ 201/ 006757)
Remuneration: A consolidated remuneration of Rs.23500/-per month + HRA (24% of consolidated remuneration) will be paid to the selected candidates during the first year. An increment of Rs.1000/- will be provided in the second year.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc (Physics)
Desirable: Experience in sample preparation and spectroscopic measurements. Experience in conducting rheological and /or dielectric spectroscopy experiments. Familiarity with plotting/analysis software (eg. Origin/ Matlab).
Upper Age Limit: The upper as limit is 30 years as on the last date for closing of applications.

After the Professor's demise in November 1970, the Academy created a public charitable trust: the Raman Research Institute Trust. The lands, buildings, deposits, securities, bank deposits, moneys, laboratories, instruments, and all other movable and immovable properties held by the Academy for the Raman Research Institute were transferred to the RRI Trust. The foremost function of the RRI Trust was to maintain, conduct and sustain the Raman Research Institute.
