Job Description
Applications are invited for the post of Research Scientist-B with a consolidated salary
of Rs. 67,320/- (including all admissible allowances as per Government of India rules) in a DSTSERB Sponsored Project entitled “Evolution of Indian Sub-continental Lithospheric Mantle:
Insights from kimberlites, related rocks and mafic dykes”
The candidates should be a Ph.D. in Geology (specialization in Mineralogy, Igneous petrology and Geochemistry).
Upper age limit should not exceed 45 years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped/Female candidates). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Desirable qualifications: The candidate would be responsible for the maintenance/functioning of the forthcoming EPMA facility under this project and therefore should have experience in working on EPMA/SEM or related instruments and in interpretation of the data generated.
