Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a Research Scientist - PhD-level to lead innovation in lithium-ion battery manufacturing and end-of-life recycling. This position focuses on developing next-generation processes and materials that support high-performance, cost-effective, and sustainable energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead research on advanced electrode materials, electrolyte systems, and battery design for improved manufacturability and recyclability.
Design and implement experimental setups for battery fabrication and recycling process evaluation (hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, or direct recycling).
Analyze degradation mechanisms and contribute to extending battery life cycles.
Collaborate cross-functionally with process engineers, data scientists, and product development teams.
Author technical reports, publish findings, and present at conferences and consortiums.
Stay at the forefront of industry and academic developments in battery science.

Required Qualifications:

PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material science, Energy Storage, or a related field.
Demonstrated research experience in lithium-ion batteries (manufacturing, cell chemistry, or recycling).
Strong background in materials characterization (e.g., SEM, XRD, ICP, EIS).
Proficient in scientific writing and data interpretation.
Passion for clean energy and sustainable technology.

Preferred Experience:

Postdoctoral or industry experience in battery recycling technologies.
Hands-on knowledge of cell prototyping and pilot-scale production lines.
Familiarity with regulatory and environmental aspects of battery disposal and recovery.
Experience mentoring junior scientists or working in cross-functional research teams.
