Research Scientist/Research Associate /Research Fellow job Position in Punjab Remote Sensing Centre on contractual basis

Research Fellow/ 01 Post

Qualification: Master degree in the relevant subject along with at least one year experience in similar field (Relevant subject : Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics/ GIST) OR Master degree in the relevant subject along with PG Diploma in RS& GIS and at least one year experience in similar field (Relevant subject : Engineering/Earth Sciences/ Soil Science/ Agronomy/Physics)

Desirable with due weightage: I. Experience in microwave remote sensing

II. Proficiency in Imaging software’s and programming skills (like Python and MATLAB)

III. Experience in collecting ground truth data

Pay Scale: Rs 27,000 (Consolidated)

Research Associate / 01Post

Essential: PhD in the relevant subject ( Relevant subject: Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics / GIST/Engineering/Earth Sciences/ Soil Science/ Agronomy with good knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS as evident from thesis and publications) OR Master degree in the relevant subject along with at least two years experience in similar field (Relevant subject : Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics/ GIST/ Engineering/Earth Sciences/ Physics /Soil Science/ Agronomy)

Desirable with due weightage: I. Experience in microwave remote sensing

II. Proficiency in Imaging software’s and programming skills (like Python and MATLAB)

III. Experience in collecting ground truth data IV. A good record in writing project reports/scientific papers.

Pay Scale: Rs 30,000 (Consolidated)
