Job Description

ICRISAT invites applications from dynamic Indian nationals for the post of Research Technician – Crop Improvement. This position is based at ICRISAT Headquarters, near Greater Hyderabad, Telangana State, India.

Responsibilities: Prepare planting materials, filed layouts, record field and post-harvest data and processing of samples Supervise/assist in crop production activities like planting, weeding, harvesting and seed processing activities. Generate crosses involving restorer parents in pearl millet. Attend greenhouse and field activities related to restorer parents in pearl millet. Support in data entry and provide basic analysis in MS-Excel for heat tolerance screening nurseries

Requirements: Science graduate or B.Tech with 1 or 2 years of relevant experience.Fluency in English (both written and spoken).Proficiency in Computer Skills (MS-Office). Should be a good team player and adaptable to working in multicultural team.

General: This is a Locally Recruited Staff position for three years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.
