Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
-
Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude and make them feel welcome.

Take customer orders, answer questions about the menu, and provide recommendations as needed.

Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and professional manner.
-
Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a polite and efficient manner.
-
Ensure that all customers are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
2. Order Taking & Processing:
-
Accurately take orders from customers and communicate them clearly to the kitchen staff.

Ensure that special dietary requests or preferences are noted and conveyed to the kitchen team.

Process cash and credit card transactions and provide accurate change when necessary.
3. Food and Beverage Handling:
-
Prepare and serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards.
-
Assist in food preparation and assembly when needed, following safety and hygiene guidelines.

Ensure that all food items are served in a presentable manner, adhering to the restaurant’s presentation standards.

Handle and store food and beverages safely and maintain the cleanliness of service areas.
4. Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
-
Keep dining areas clean, organized, and properly set up.
-
Ensure tables are cleared and reset in a timely manner for new customers.

Assist in cleaning and sanitizing the restaurant, including floors, counters, and bathrooms, to maintain a clean environment.

Assist in organizing stock and inventory in the storage area.
5. Team Collaboration:
-
Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Assist fellow team members when needed, especially during busy shifts.
-
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure orders are accurate and timely.
6. Adherence to Health & Safety Standards:
-
Follow food safety guidelines, ensuring all food items are stored, handled, and prepared correctly.

Ensure cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the restaurant, including work areas, kitchen, and dining areas.

Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to uniform standards.
7. Upselling and Promotions:
-
Promote and suggest additional menu items, promotions, or special offers to customers.
-
Encourage repeat visits and customer loyalty through excellent service and product recommendations.
8. Other Duties:
-
Participate in restaurant meetings and training to stay updated on new menu items, policies, or procedures.

Assist in opening and closing the restaurant, including setting up or cleaning the kitchen and dining areas.

Handle any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or manager.
