Job Description

  • Store Operations:
    • Ensuring smooth and efficient store operations, including inventory management, stock control, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. 
    • Monitoring sales performance and identifying areas for improvement. 
    • Implementing and managing sales promotions and in-store events. 
    • Managing cash flow and ensuring accurate point-of-sale (POS) transactions. 
    • Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback. 
  • Sales & Merchandising:
    • Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and customer traffic. 
    • Creating and maintaining visually appealing product displays to attract customers. 
    • Staying up-to-date on product knowledge and trends. 
  • Financial Management:
    • Managing budgets and ensuring that financial objectives are met. 
    • Monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing Store Operations:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the retail stores, ensuring smooth functioning of all aspects of store activities.

    • Monitor and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards across all retail locations.

    • Implement operational strategies to improve store performance and meet sales targets.

  2. Team Management and Training:

    • Lead, motivate, and manage store managers and staff to achieve set objectives and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

    • Develop training programs to improve staff performance in areas such as product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.

    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

    • Ensure adequate staffing levels for peak periods and manage employee schedules efficiently.

  3. Sales and Profitability:

    • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets, boost store profitability, and drive revenue growth.

    • Analyze store sales data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas where sales can be enhanced.

    • Work with marketing and promotions teams to ensure effective in-store promotions and advertising efforts.

    • Ensure the store's visual merchandising aligns with brand standards and creates an attractive shopping environment.

  4. Inventory Management:

    • Oversee stock levels, ensuring inventory is managed effectively to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock or stockouts.

    • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

    • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.

  5. Customer Service Excellence:

    • Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through effective management of customer service standards.

    • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive store reputation.

    • Foster a customer-centric culture across the retail team, encouraging staff to engage with customers and exceed their expectations.

  6. Financial and Budget Management:

    • Manage operational costs and ensure the store stays within the allocated budget.

    • Monitor and control expenses related to inventory, staffing, utilities, and other store operations.

    • Prepare reports on store performance, including sales, expenses, and profit margins, and share insights with senior management.

  7. Compliance and Health & Safety:

    • Ensure the store complies with all legal, regulatory, and company standards, including health and safety regulations.

    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure that the store environment remains safe for both customers and employees.

    • Ensure all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications are up to date.

  8. Store Performance Reporting:

    • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales figures, foot traffic, and customer satisfaction metrics to evaluate store performance.
