Urgent opening for Retail Salesperson
Location: Porur, Chennai

Gender: Male / Female
Salary: Rs.10,000 to Rs.16,500
Qualification: 10th & Above
Experience: 2 - 3 years
Age limit: 20 - 45
Language Known: Tamil must (English/Hindi added advantage)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
-
Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs or preferences.

Offer advice and product recommendations based on customer interests and requirements.

Answer questions about product features, prices, availability, and usage.

Provide prompt and friendly service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
2. Sales and Upselling:
-
Actively promote products and inform customers of current promotions, discounts, and special offers.

Suggest additional or alternative products to increase sales (cross-selling or upselling).
-
Work toward achieving individual and store-wide sales targets and KPIs.
-
Follow up with regular customers or clients to offer new arrivals or exclusive deals.
3. Product Knowledge:
-
Stay informed about new products, trends, and in-store inventory.
-
Learn and understand detailed information about merchandise (e.g., fabric types, sizes, specifications, warranties).
-
Demonstrate product use where applicable (e.g., electronics, appliances, cosmetics).
4. Store Presentation and Organization:
-
Ensure that the store, displays, and merchandise are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
-
Replenish shelves, racks, and display areas as needed.
-
Assist in setting up promotional displays, signage, and seasonal product arrangements.
-
Report any damaged or expired items and remove them from the sales floor.
5. Point of Sale and Transactions:

Assist with billing and checkouts using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
-
Handle various forms of payments (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments).
-
Issue receipts, handle returns and exchanges according to company policy.
-
Maintain accuracy in cash handling and daily reconciliation if required.
6. Inventory and Stock Management:
-
Assist with stock checks, labeling, tagging, and inventory updates.
-
Participate in regular stocktaking and audit processes.
-
Receive and unpack deliveries, check items for damage or discrepancies, and store them appropriately.
7. Customer Complaints and Feedback:
-
Handle customer complaints calmly and efficiently, resolving issues when possible or escalating to management.

Collect and report customer feedback to help improve service and product offerings.
