5G OSS KPI Optimization Engineer (NR)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced 5G OSS KPI Optimization Engineer with strong expertise in NR network performance monitoring, KPI analysis, and optimization across multi-technology environments (4G/5G). The candidate should possess strong analytical capabilities in OSS-based KPI optimization, CTR analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and cluster-level performance improvement activities.
The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, operations teams, and customer units to ensure optimal network performance and customer experience delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform OSS KPI monitoring and analysis for 5G NR networks (NSA/SA)
Conduct multi-layer network performance analysis across NR and LTE technologies
Optimize network KPIs including:
Accessibility
Retainability
Mobility
Throughput
Perform Counter-Based (CTR) analysis and detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Execute single-site and cluster-level optimization activities
Analyze and optimize LTE–NR NSA performance including:
EN-DC performance optimization
LTE anchor balancing
Monitor and improve network quality and customer experience KPIs
Coordinate with stakeholders for performance reviews, reporting, and action tracking
Analyze NR call flows and identify performance bottlenecks
Prepare periodic KPI reports, dashboards, and performance summaries
Support end-to-end optimization activities across multi-vendor and multi-technology environments
Required Skillset
Technical Skills
Strong experience in 5G NR OSS KPI monitoring and optimization
Good understanding of NR NSA and SA architecture
Strong knowledge of:
Accessibility KPIs
Retainability KPIs
Mobility KPIs
Throughput optimization
Hands-on expertise in:
Single site tuning
Cluster optimization
KPI degradation analysis
Counter-based performance analysis
Good understanding of NR call flows and signaling procedures
Strong LTE–NR NSA optimization experience
Good understanding of GSM optimization concepts including IRAT and fallback scenarios
Hands-on experience with OSS tools such as:
Ericsson ENM
OSS-RC
NetAn
Nokia NetAct
Citrix
MoShell
Experience in Drive Test post-processing tools such as:
TEMS
NEMO
AZQ
Advanced knowledge of:
MS Excel
Power BI (PBI)
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work in global delivery and multi-cultural environments
Strong presentation and reporting skills
Experience Requirements
5–10+ years of telecom experience
Proven hands-on experience in NR OSS KPI monitoring and optimization
Strong exposure to multi-technology networks (4G/5G)
Experience in cluster-level performance optimization projects
Prior experience with Ericsson and/or Nokia OSS environments is mandatory
Good to Have
Understanding of end-to-end service KPIs and customer experience impact
Exposure to automation and scripting (Python/Shell scripting)
Experience working in global delivery models
Knowledge of automation-driven KPI analytics and reporting
