Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and energetic Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas in line with the hotel’s quality and hygiene standards. This role is crucial in delivering a high level of guest satisfaction through attention to detail, cleanliness, and prompt service.
The ideal candidate should be physically fit, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or cleaning services is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Room Cleaning

Clean, dust, and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly and efficiently.

Make beds, change linens, and replace towels according to hotel standards.

Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries, drinking water, tissue paper, and stationery.

Vacuum carpets, clean floors, and wipe surfaces, including mirrors, furniture, and fixtures.

Ensure all furniture, appliances, and electronics are in working order and report any maintenance issues.
2. Bathroom Maintenance

Clean and disinfect bathroom surfaces, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinks.

Refill toiletries such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and towels.

Ensure bathrooms are odor-free and spotless before room turnover.
3. Public Area & Corridor Maintenance (if assigned)

Keep hallways, lift areas, staircases, and other public spaces neat and tidy.

Empty trash bins, mop floors, and clean public restrooms (if under responsibility).

Maintain supplies in cleaning closets and pantry rooms on the floors.
4. Room Inspections & Reporting

Conduct final checks to ensure rooms are guest-ready before check-in.

Report any lost & found items, damages, or suspicious activity to the supervisor immediately.

Notify the maintenance or engineering team of any repairs needed (e.g., leaking taps, broken bulbs, AC issues).
5. Guest Interaction

Greet guests politely if encountered in the corridor or room.

Respond to guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or other amenities courteously.

Inform the front desk or supervisor of any guest complaints or special requests.
6. Compliance & Safety

Follow hotel safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Adhere to hygiene, health, and sanitation standards at all times.

Wear a proper uniform and maintain personal hygiene while on duty.

Use equipment like vacuum cleaners, mops, and trolleys with care and return them to designated areas after use.
