Job Summary:
The Room Attendant Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of residential properties. This includes thorough cleaning and sanitizing of rooms, with a strong focus on kitchen cleaning. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a cleaning team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and hygienic living environment for residents or clients.
Key Responsibilities:
General Housekeeping Duties:

Clean and tidy all assigned areas within the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, hallways, and common spaces.

Dust furniture, window sills, baseboards, and shelves.

Vacuum carpets and rugs, sweep and mop floors.

Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash in designated areas.

Make beds, change linens, and replace used towels with clean ones.

Replenish toiletries and other household supplies as requested.

Report any maintenance issues or damages in the home to the supervisor.

Handle cleaning tools and equipment carefully, ensuring proper use and storage.
Kitchen Cleaning Focus:
Kitchen cleaning is a central component of this role. It requires specialized attention due to hygiene and food safety requirements. Tasks include:

Surface Cleaning:

Wipe down countertops, backsplashes, and kitchen surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents.

Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces including cabinet handles, refrigerator doors, and appliance buttons.

Appliance Cleaning:

Clean the exterior and interior of appliances such as microwaves, ovens, stovetops, refrigerators, and dishwashers.

Remove grease and food residue using degreasers and non-abrasive cleaners.

Defrost and clean the inside of freezers if requested.

Sink & Dish Area:

Scrub and disinfect sinks, faucets, and drain areas.

Wash and dry dishes if required or load/unload the dishwasher.

Ensure dish drying racks and countertops remain clean and uncluttered.

Cupboards and Storage:

Clean cabinet doors and wipe down inside shelving (as per request).

Organize pantry and food storage areas, ensuring expired items are reported or removed based on homeowner guidance.
