Job Description
About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Run RT-PCR machines (manual & automated)
2. Work on daily maintenance of instruments and taking care of calibration
3. Work on daily QC run and inform seniors of any deviation
4. Work on data entry for non-inter phased parameters and data transfer for inter phased instruments
5. Inform alert values to clients
6. Follow safety protocols while performing tests within TAT as per defined standard operating procedure (SOP)
7. Work on proper storage and discarding of specimens/ samples as per SOP.
8. Segregate samples
9. Raise query in case of a problem sample
10. Observe all laboratory safety precautions in the handling of clinical specimens and running of tests
11. Perform checks during sample testing to monitor performance
12. Identify problems in results as per re-check criteria/linearity
13. Escalate identified issues to the designated supervisor
14. Work on timely reporting of sample tests as per TAT
