Job Description

We are looking for safety engineer/officer - building construction, we are looking for experienced candidate, in same field candidates will prefer for this post. Candidates must be 40-50 years of age with minimum 3 years of experience.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer / Officer to oversee and enforce safety standards at our building construction sites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, risk assessment, and accident prevention strategies. This role is critical in ensuring a safe working environment for all workers while complying with government safety guidelines and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Safety Compliance & Risk Assessment

Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations (OSHA, NBC, IS codes, etc.).
Perform risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent accidents.

2. Training & Awareness Programs

Conduct safety training sessions for workers, engineers, and supervisors.
Ensure workers use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow safety protocols.
Promote a safety-first culture at the construction site.

3. Incident Investigation & Reporting

Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents and suggest corrective actions.
Maintain proper safety logs, reports, and compliance documents.

4. Emergency Preparedness & First Aid

Develop and implement emergency response plans.
Ensure fire safety measures, evacuation plans, and first-aid facilities are in place.
Train workers on fire drills, first aid, and handling hazardous materials.

5. Coordination & Communication

Work closely with site engineers, project managers, and labor contractors.
Liaise with government safety inspectors and auditors during site visits.
Recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety.
